How hard is the state exam?
Well, let’s be honest here – it’s a tough exam. But the good news is that we’ve got your back. If you come to our classes, follow our study tips, and put in the effort outside of class, you’re going to be well-prepared to pass. We know it can be daunting, but we’re here to support you every step of the way and give you the tools you need to succeed.
How long is the state exam?
The Tennessee state test is a 40-question exam, and you need to score at least 70% to pass. The national test is an 80-question exam, and you also need to score at least 70% to pass. Don’t worry about running out of time because you have two minutes per question, and with the right strategies, you’ll have plenty of time to answer all the questions. In our class, we’ll teach you those strategies to help you pass the exam on the first try.
How many times can I retake the state exam, and do I have to pass it in a certain timeframe after finishing the class?
You can retake the state exam as many times as you need, but you have to pass it within a year of finishing real estate school. However, if you come back to our classes, it resets the calendar for you, and you can keep retaking the exam until you pass. So don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. It just takes effort!
Where do I take the state exam?
There are several locations where you can take the Tennessee state exam, including one in Johnson City. You can also take it in neighboring states such as Asheville and Greenville, South Carolina, or take it online. So you have the flexibility to choose the location that works best for you.
Do you help with scheduling the state exam?
We’re not allowed to assist with scheduling the state exam, but we will report your information to the testing company, PSI, once you’ve completed the class. They’ll then send you an email with instructions on how to schedule the exam. We do have a special number for our Tennessee students to call PSI, and we recommend calling them directly to schedule the exam.
